Virtual Classroom
Description
The introductory training course is recommended to anyone wanting to develop a solid and detailed introduction to working in Abaqus/Standard in the Abaqus/CAE environment. This 4-day course introduces the topics of model creation and manipulation using Abaqus/CAE, managing parts, assembles, meshing and analysis setup, through to results post-processing. Attendees completing the course will become familiar with the working environment of Abaqus and learn how to perform linear, non-linear and dynamic analysis. Through worked examples, attendees will learn how to create and manage simulation models in Abaqus.
Agenda
- Introduction to Abaqus modelling principles and available methods
- Working within Abaqus/CAE for modelling creation, simulation and post-processing
- Tutorial examples including:
•Shell and solid modelling
•Working with native geometry
•Linear and Non-linear material and section definition
•Loading and constraints, including contact
•Simulation and post-processing
Prerequisites
None, however, an understanding of FEA principles is recommended.
