About Slee-Smith Limited

Slee-Smith Limited was founded in 2012 to provide both product development and interim management services. They have more than 24 years of experience managing some of the UK’s most successful materials handling companies.

Challenge

In May 2012 Peter Slee-Smith set up a new consultancy company. In this challenging economic climate it can be hard to secure new contracts, especially whist starting a business. However with 24 years experience and the right tools Slee-Smith Limited secured their first contract to design and develop a 52 metre diameter biomass storage silo for a large UK power plant.

Solution

SolidEdge and AutoDesk Inventor were evaluated before deciding to invest in SolidWorks through Solid Solutions. Slee-Smith Limited invested in SolidWorks Premium as well as training, support and Simulation software. “The SolidWorks solution is more integrated, thus giving me greater capabilities and a more streamlined workflow” says Peter.
