Description
The primary roll of the design engineer will be to produce design and fabrication detail drawings for equipment in the food and pharmaceutical industries using SOLIDWORKS 3D.
Our standard range of equipment includes conveyors, elevators, washing equipment, vibratory equipment, lifting and tipping equipment.
We also produce a large amount of platforms and walkways to BS EN1090.
The roll will be all encompassing with the design engineer being involved with the sales enquiry and costing, equipment design and detail drawings, procurement, project work and some commissioning of equipment after installation.
Site visits to customer sites inside and infrequently outside of the UK will be required.
Overtime will be necessary at times due to timescales and workshop loading.
Ideally the candidate will be experienced in the hygienic design of equipment and have a solid background in stainless steel fabrication techniques.
The candidate must hold a full UK driving license.
Due to the nature of our work and customer requests we would prefer somebody who lives within a 30 minute travelling distance.
An 8% non-contributary pension scheme is available after a probationary period.
Normal working hours 7.30am – 4.00pm with overtime as necessary
