Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to join the business.

The successful candidate will join the manufacturing engineering team, contributing to developing drawing standards, libraries and macros whilst working closely with the project engineering team.

Candidates must have experience using SOLIDWORKS Electrical and also a desire to streamline design processes with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical control panel circuits.


• Develop drawing standards, libraries and macros.


• Insert metadata into elements and libraries using bill of materials.


• Design Motor Control Centres (Form 4 and Form 2).


• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specification.


• Work within Microsoft word and excel packages.


• Maintain accurate reports and project data.


• Work within clients document control portals.


• Deal directly with clients for design clarifications and submissions.


• Work within a small project management team as lead design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience using SOLIDWORK Electrical, Excel and Word


• HNC or HND in electrical engineering


• Previous experience in MCC/Control Panel Design


• Knowledge and understating of British and Industry Standards around Low Voltage Equipment


• Experience of working within the water industry (Not essential)
