If you follow our blogs you will know that at SSM we are very proud of the fact that we have more 'Elite' Application Engineers than any other reseller - worldwide! In fact, to date, we not only top the worldwide league table, we have twice as many as the next highest reseller (a US reseller). We also have three times as many as the next highest reseller in the UK.
The prestigious 'Elite' AE award is achieved by successfully passing a series of examinations which test the knowledge of the engineer across all disciplines including Advanced Part and Assembly Modelling, Drawings, Sheetmetal, Weldments, Surfacing, Mould tools, Simulation, Flow Simulation, Motion Kinematics, Enterprise Data Management, Composer, Sustainability, Plastics and Electrical.
You might think that with so many exam passes (currently our team has passed over 650 exams) that they must be easy. Not so!!! I can tell you from personal experience that each exam is a genuine test of knowledge and requires considerable study. You can ask my wife! She will testify that I took my training manuals on holiday so I could maximise my chance of passing!
The net effect of all these hard won skills is that we are better able to support our customers across all the disciplines available in SOLIDWORKS and have a large pool of talented engineers to provide help, advice and guidance.
