Customer Visits

Friday June 28, 2013 at 8:24am
One of the most common questions I get asked during a training course is “what other things do I do in my role as a SOLIDWORKS Applications Engineer?”  Therefore, I thought it may be nice to share with you one of my recent site visits where one of our customers have added to their SOLIDWORKS portfolio with SOLIDWORKS Composer

The site visit to Ginetta involved the installation of the new SOLIDWORKS Composer license and a short training session with two of the engineers tasked to produce:

·         ‘Build’ Manuals for Manufacturing
·         Online Product Lists for Customers
·         Interactive Content for Sales and Marketing

Arrival:

Task 1 – Installation on customers machines – Completed
Task 2 – Training session with users to run through the SOLIDWORKS Composer functionality that will be key to their tasks:
Importing the Ginetta SOLIDWORKS Models and generating content rich Views in Composer

Producing High Resolution Images and SVG content

Post Training Tour – After training, I was able to take a look around the facility and got to see how SOLIDWORKS is used through all aspects of the Design & Build of the Race and Road cars

It was great to see some of the historic vehicles they had on display including the LMP1 driven alongside Nigel Mansell

Thank you for reading and we hope to expand this into a series of blog posts following our engineers around the country and showcasing what we do and how we can be there to support our customers
